Anyhow...thanks for commenting...I suspect, though, you'll be a little disappointed in my answer.  The story is actually fictional.  I was writing on a subject near and dear to my heart, as I am personally facing such a situation being true of ME someday...The Lord has called me to missions (I will be going to Australia in a couple of years), and as I work through various aspects of preparing to go full-time, the Lord has been surfacing things in my life that I need to face and adjust to, and overcome.  SO, this happens to be one of those areas.  There is a guy that I have been interested in since the first real conversation we ever had, but our relationship has been brief and our meetings few.  We worked at camp together one summer, and have kept in touch since, but I knew that it could never work out, so before he was able to do any kind of pursual (that is actually assuming he planned to, which I believe he was beginning to contemplate it), I told him that I was called to missions, and that I knew he was going to be here...so, yeah...(and yes, he does happen to be a recording artist ).

If you're looking for fictional stories, I've got a million...I write such things to help me think through, process and understand what the Lord is doing in my life.  As for non-fictional stories, I could help you find some.  I graduated from Moody Bible Institute, one of the largest missionary sending colleges in the world...I know I could get a hold of some real stories for you.

Very cool...what a great job!!!  What kinds of stories are you looking for?  I have written a large number of short stories, and write more all the time, as well as some novels, testimonies of real experiences...just let me know what kinds of things you're looking for, and I'll do my best to find some for you!

As for missions in Australia...well, when I was seventeen, the Lord began to show me a need there, and as I began talking to missionaries and residents of Australia, the more I felt the Lord leading me there...learning that so little of the people claim to be believers in Jesus Christ all the more broke my heart for the needs there!  So, yeah...
